NEW YORK, N.Y. – A relay victory and three individual runner-up finishes highlighted Cortland's performances at the season-opening three-team NYU Invitational Women's Swimming and Diving Fall Invitational.
Stevens Institute of Technology finished the two-day meet with 804 points, followed by NYU with 589 and Cortland with 439.

Chrisanna Hickey (Hopewell Junction/John Jay East Fishkill) and sophomore
Sarah Culmo (West Islip) finished first in 1:54.29.
Hickey placed second in the 200-yard butterfly in 2:18.69, while senior
Sara Wynne (Wantagh) was the runner-up in both one-meter (213.89 pts.) and three-meter (210.15 pts.) diving. Sophomore
Lindsay Wigderson (Webster/Webster Thomas) finished third in both diving events (211.73 points on the one-meter board and 203.55 points on the three-meter board).
Auer finished third in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:11.70) and fourth in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:39.59). Freshman
Krista Caputo (Staten Island/Curtis) was fourth in the 1,650-yard freestyle (18:48.33), while junior
Abigail MacDonald (East Amherst/Williamsville North) placed fifth in both the 200-yard butterfly (2:23.16) and 200-yard backstroke (2:19.22).

Laura Bohneberg (Lockport) in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:40.62), Culmo in the 50-yard freestyle (26.03) and junior
Jessica Evans (Hamburg) in the 100-yard freestyle (56.44).

Caitlin Lanigan (West Seneca/West Seneca West) finished third in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:43.71). MacDonald, Hickey, Evans and Culmo registered a fourth-place finish in the 400-yard medley relay (4:15.66).
