Alyson Dalton finished 30th nationally this fall after placing 31st as a junior in 2010
WINNECONNE, WIS.- Cortland senior
Alyson Dalton (Sherrill/Vernon-Verona-Sherrill) earned All-America honors for the second straight year at the NCAA Div. III Women's Cross Country Championships. The race was held at the Lake Breeze Golf Course and was hosted by the University of Wisconsin-Oshkosh.
Dalton finished 30th in a field of 277 runners with a time of 21:38.35 over 6,000 meters. The top 35 finishers are recognized as All-Americans. Dalton placed 31st at nationals last season.
Two other runners also competed for Cortland as individual entries at the championships. Freshman
Bori Tozser (Homer) finished in 90th place in 22:14.74 and junior
Jordyn Naylon (Fairport) crossed the line 160th in 22:40.38.
Chiara Del Piccolo of Williams College was the individual champion in 20:52.08. Washington University of Missouri captured the team title.
