Danny Salvatore earned top-16 finishes in the 100-yard and 200-yard breaststroke events
ITHACA, N.Y. – Cortland finished in seventh place out of nine schools at the three-day men's swimming and diving Ithaca College Invitational. The Red Dragons finished with 588 points. Division I Cornell won the meet with 1,996 points, easily ahead of runner-up Hartwick's 1,401.5 points.
Senior
Travis Burke (Massapequa) finished in fifth place in both one-meter diving (414.85 pts.) and three-meter diving (449.80 pts.). Senior
Judd Simon (Oneida) turned in Cortland's best finish in the swimming events with a sixth-place time of 2:00.28 in the 200-yard individual medley. Simon also tied for 10th in the 400-yard individual medley (4:24.66).
Junior
Justin Nelson (Jamestown/Frewsburg) placed 10th in the 100-yard backstroke (55.43) and 11th in the 200-yard backstroke (2:01.10). Junior
