Sarah Bonnell qualified for the ECAC Div. III Championships in the 60-meter and 200-meter dashes
BOSTON, MASS. – Cortland posted 11 ECAC Div. III Championship qualifying performances at the two-day Boston University Valentine Invitational.
Freshman
Sarah Bonnell (Norwich) recorded two of those efforts with her 18th-place time of 8.02 seconds in the 60-meter dash and her 36th-place time of 26.14 seconds in the 200-meter dash. Graduate student
Kristen Serikstad (Oyster Bay) tied for sixth place in the high jump by clearing 1.63 meters (5' 4.25”) and sophomore
Alexis Fairbanks (Apalachin/Owego Free Academy) finished 37th of 139 runners in the 800 meters (2:17.63).
Two Red Dragons posted ECAC times in the 5,000 meters. Junior
Alyson Dalton (Sherrill/Vernon-Verona-Sherrill) finished 32nd in 17:53.88 and senior
Caitlin Sullivan (Elmira/Thomas A. Edison) was 49th in 18:15.13. Sophomore
Jordyn Naylon (Fairport) finished 62nd of 147 in the mile (5:13.52) and freshman
Emily Cotey (Norwood/Norwood-Norfolk) was 81st in the 3,000 meters (10:45.18).
Two Cortland entries in the 4x400-meter relay met ECAC qualifying standards. The combination of junior

Val Basciano (New City/Albertus Magnus) placed 28th (4:08.61).
In addition, the Distance Medley Relay team of Fairbanks, Grable, freshman
Laura Quercia (Marcellus) and Naylon finished 21st with an ECAC time of 12:40.55.
