COLUMBUS, OHIO - Three members of Cortland's men's indoor track and field team competed during the opening day of competition at the NCAA Div. III Championships, hosted by Capital University.
Junior
Ryan Pericozzi (Lancaster) tied for 10th place in the pole vault with a height of 4.72 meters (15' 5.75") and junior
Tomas Velasquez (Catskill) finished 12th in the long jump at 6.58 meters (21' 7.25"). Senior
Gino Bisceglia (Norwood/Norwood-Norfolk) finished 13th in the preliminaries of the 400-meter dash (50.64 seconds) and did not qualify for Saturday's finals.
On Saturday, Bisceglia will compete with sophomore
Eric Banks (Westbury), junior
Zac Farnham-Haskell (Essex Junction, VT/Essex) and freshman
Stephan Linton (Roosevelt) in the 4x400-meter relay. Freshman
Aaron Green (Riverhead) will be in action Saturday in the triple jump.
