PRINCETON, N.J. – Cortland posted ECAC-qualifying performances in three individual events and a relay as the Red Dragons competed at the Sam Howell Invitational, hosted by Div. I Princeton University.
Junior
Alyson Dalton (Sherrill/Vernon-Verona-Sherrill) placed 14th out of 41 runners with an ECAC time of 17:41.15 in the 5,000 meters. Sophomore
Nikki Schafer (Troy/Columbia) and sophomore
Katie Darling (Delhi/Delaware Academy) each met ECAC standards in the 100-meter hurdles. Schafer was ninth in 15.71 seconds and Darling finished 11th in 16.01 seconds.

Trisha Clark (Pulaski), junior
Abby Vander Veen (Delanson/Faith Bible Academy), sophomore
Jordyn Naylon (Fairport) and sophomore Lex Grable (Pine Bush) finished in ninth place with an ECAC-qualifying time of 4:07.83.
Freshman
Sarah Bonnell (Norwich) placed eighth out of 27 entrants in the 100-meter dash (12.85) and 20th out of 45 sprinters in the 200-meter dash (27.29). Junior
Jenna Evarts (West Islip) finished 12th in the 100-meter dash (13.03) and 17th in the 200-meter dash (26.99). Two other Red Dragons also placed in the top half of the field in the 200 meters – Vander Veen was 18th (27.04) and junior
Veronica Montrose (Clintondale/Highland) was 19th (27.28). Naylon turned in the 17th-best time out of 40 runners in the 800 meters (2:21.70).
