GENEVA, N.Y. – Three different players scored goals as the Cortland women's soccer team defeated Centenary, 3-0, during the first day of the William Smith Heron Cup. The Red Dragons improved to 2-1 with the win and will face host William Smith Sunday at 2 p.m. in the pre-determined schedule. Centenary fell to 2-1 with the loss.

Amanda Margolis (Oceanside) each tallied a goal for Cortland. Freshman
Rachel Parker (Marathon) collected two assists, and senior
Jennifer Cadolino (Massapequa) chipped in with one assist. Graduate student goalie
Pam Monnier (East Northport/Northport) made two saves in posting the shutout.
Alyssa Hackelberg and Megan Williams split time in goal for Centenary. Hackelberg made two saves in the opening half before giving way to Williams, who stopped six shots over the final 45 minutes of action.
De Luise gave Cortland a 1-0 lead in the 30th minute when she received a pass from Parker, beat a defender and sent a shot into the right side of the goal. Margolis netted her first career goal off Cadolino's assist with a short shot right in front in the 41st minute. Moores capped the scoring with her first goal as a Red Dragon in the 79th minute. Parker sent a pass from the right to the left side where Moores deposited a shot in the left side of the goal.
