Red Dragon Women Fourth at Colgate Class of '32 Invite

Trisha Clark finished fifth in the 500-meter dash with an ECAC-qualifying time of 1:21.18
HAMILTON, N.Y. – Five Cortland women posted ECAC Div. III Championship qualifying performances at the Colgate Class of '32 Invitational. The Red Dragons finished fourth out of six schools in the team scoring despite having only a portion of its team present due to the Cortland Winter Invitational being contested the same day.

Colgate finished with 140 points, followed by Bloomsburg (129), Oneonta (121), Cortland (110), Hamilton (60) and Syracuse (59).

Freshman Taylor Hudson (Victor) won the high jump with an ECAC height of 1.63 meters (5' 4.25”) and junior Jordyn Naylon (Fairport) won the mile with an ECAC time of 5:09.37.

Senior Alyson Dalton (Sherrill/Vernon-Verona-Sherrill) posted an ECAC time of 10:21.42 for a third-place finish in the 3,000 meters. Junior Liz Henry (Massapequa Park/Massapequa) and sophomore Trisha Clark (Pulaski) each registered ECAC times in the 500-meter dash. Henry finished fourth in 1:21.14 and Clark was fifth in 1:21.18.

In the 800-meter run, Naylon finished second in 2:24.82, sophomore Cait Reilly (Warwick/Monroe-Woodbury) finished third in 2:25.84 and freshman Bori Tozser (Homer) placed sixth in 2:27.16. Junior Nikki Schafer (Troy/Columbia), sophomore Lexi Budd (Riverhead) and freshman Megan O'Regan (West Islip) all cleared 1.48 meters (4' 10.25”) in the high jump. Schafer finished third, Budd was fourth and O'Regan was fifth due to number of misses. Schafer also finished fourth in the 60-meter hurdles (9.79) and Tozser was fifth in the mile run (5:19.77).

In the 200-meter dash, freshman Kiki Jones (Binghamton) finished second (27.04), followed by senior Veronica Montrose (Clintondale/Highland) in third (27.38) and Hudson in fifth (27.40). In the 400-meter dash, Montrose placed fourth (1:01.63), Jones was fifth (1:01.91) and junior Alexis Grable (Pine Bush) finished seventh (1:03.16).
