CORTLAND, N.Y. - Cortland swimmers turned in the fastest times in 12 individual events as the Red Dragons defeated visiting Buffalo State, 151-116. The Red Dragons evened their dual-meet record at 2-2 with the victory.
Freshman
Andrew Cremer (Blue Point/Bayport-Blue Point) won the 200-yard freestyle in 1:48.49 and touched the wall first as an exhibition entry in the 400-yard individual medley in 4:31.76. He was also second in the 100-yard freestyle (50.61). Senior
Judd Simon (Oneida) captured the 100-yard backstroke (57.04) and was the top swimmer as an exhibition entry in the 100-yard butterfly (57.20). Simon also placed second in the 50-yard freestyle (22.65).

Reeve Callen (Oswego) won the 1,650-yard freestyle (17:19.83), sophomore
Antrico Forbes (Brooklyn/Ralph R. McKee) was the 200-yard backstroke winner (2:10.60) and junior
Mark Hanifin (Fort Plain) won the 200-yard butterfly (2:13.21).

Mathew Hasbrouck (New Paltz) won the 100-yard freestyle (49.62) and finished second in the 200-yard freestyle (1:51.45). Freshman

Dan Maximowicz (Chenango Forks) captured the 50-yard freestyle (22.53) and sophomore

Justin Nelson (Jamestown/Frewsburg) recorded the best time in the 500-yard freestyle (5:10.00) and second-best time in the 400-yard individual medley (4:46.11), both as an exhibition entry. Sophomore
Mike Sutz (Buffalo/Orchard Park) finished second in both the 100-yard breaststroke (1:09.80) and 200-yard breaststroke (2:31.31), Freshman

Luke Strothenke (New Paltz) posted the second-fastest time as an exhibition entry in the 100-yard butterfly (59.09).
Cortland won the opening 200-yard medley relay as junior
Brandon McManus (Pittsford/Pittsford-Mendon), Simon, Hasbrouck and Maximowicz were clocked in 1:43.29. The Red Dragons' 200-yard freestyle relay team of Callen, Cremer, Forbes and Hanifin had the best time of 1:30.62 as an exhibition entry.
