CORTLAND, N.Y. - The Cortland women's swimming and diving team improved to 2-2 on the season with a 164.5-124.5 victory over visiting Buffalo State. The Red Dragons turned in the top performances in 13 individual events and both relays.
The victory is the 100th women's dual-meet win at Cortland for 11th-year head coach
Brian Tobin. His record currently stands at 100-30-1. Tobin reached the 100-win mark on the men's side last season.

Krista Caputo (Staten Island/Curtis) won the 200-yard freestyle (2:00.71) and 200-yard backstroke (2:25.16). Freshman
Chelsey Simon (Oneida) won the 1,650-yard freestyle (18:57.55) and had the best time as an exhibition entry in the 400-yard individual medley (5:01.73). Freshman
Miranda Fergus (Pleasant Valley/Millbrook) won 3-meter diving (262.90 pts.) and posted the best score on the 1-meter board (247.90 pts.) as an exhibition entry.
