ITHACA, N.Y. – The Cortland men's swimming and diving team finished in seventh place out of 11 schools at the three-day Ithaca College Invitational. The Red Dragons scored 524.5 points. Cornell won the team title with 1,837.5 points
Senior
Ben Strickland (Stanfordville/HomeSchool) finished in the top 15 in three individual events. He placed fifth in the 100-yard backstroke (53.09), 11th in the 200-yard backstroke (2:00.01) and 13th in the 400-yard individual medley (4:24.38).

Dan Maximowicz (Chenango Forks) finished fourth (1:26.59), and Strickland, Maximowicz, Schoenherr and freshman
Reeve Callen (Oswego) placed fourth in the 400-yard freestyle relay (3:11.49).

Mathew Hasbrouck (New Paltz) and Maximowicz finished fifth (1:37.24), while Strickland, MacQuarrie, Hasbrouck and Callen teamed to finish sixth in the 400-yard medley relay (3:35.92).
Maximowicz finished seventh in the 50-yard freestyle (21.46). Callen placed eighth in the 200-yard freestyle (1:46.35) and 15th in the 100-yard freestyle (47.99). MacQuarrie finished ninth in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:01.00). Freshman
Andrew Cremer (Blue Point/Bayport-Blue Point) posted a 10th-place finish in the 1,650-yard freestyle (16:57.52) and 12th-place time in the 500-yard freestyle (4:51.08).

Justin Nelson (Jamestown/Frewsburg) earned a 10th-place finish in the 200-yard backstroke (1:59.90) and 14th-place finish in the 100-yard backstroke (55.38). Also, junior
