Stephan Linton (Roosevelt) earned All-America honors with a fourth-place finish at the NCAA Div. III Men's Indoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by Grinnell College.
The Red Dragon quartet posted a time of 3:19.36 in the first of two five-team heats that were conducted. It first appeared that Cortland finished third in that heat and fifth overall, but Wisconsin-Whitewater, the heat winner, was disqualified, moving Cortland into the fourth spot overall.
North Central and Wisconsin-Eau Claire, which competed in the second heat, finished first and second, respectively. North Central's winning time was 3:16.11. Rowan finished ahead of Cortland in the first heat and placed third overall.
Banks and Wiltshire each earned All-America honors for the second time. They were part of a seventh-place 4x400-meter relay team at the 2010 NCAA Div. III Outdoor Championships. Yodice and Linton are All-Americans for the first time.
With the five points scored by the relay, Cortland tied for 33rd place out of 60 schools that scored at the championship. North Central won the title with 48 points. Cortland, Geneseo and NYU were part of a five-way tie for 33rd and were the best New York finishers at the meet.
