WEST POINT, N.Y. – Four Cortland athletes won event titles, all with ECAC Div. III Championship qualifying performances, as the Red Dragons opened their men's outdoor track and field season at the two-day Army Dick Shea Open Friday and Saturday.
Senior
Phill Wiltshire (Vestal) finished first out of 18 in the 400-meter hurdles in 54.94 seconds and junior
Tom Hopkins (Syracuse/West Genesee) place atop a field of 43 runners in the 5,000 meters in 15:12.68. Senior
Will Razzano (Manorville/Riverhead) won the triple jump at 14.03 meters (46' 0.5”) and senior
Ryan Pericozzi (Lancaster) cleared 4.90 meters (16' 1”) to take top honors in the pole vault.
Freshman
Jarred Iacovelli (Manahawkin, NJ/Southern Regional) finished second in the 3,000-meter steeplechase (9:41.09), followed by freshman
Joe Ray (Bayport/Bayport-Blue Point) in third place (9:46.14). Freshman
Rob Schenke (Kings Park) finished third in the 400-meter hurdles (56.75).

Connor Ten Eyck (Clifton Park/Shenendehowa) tied for fourth place in the pole vault (4.45 meters – 14' 7.25”) and sophomore
Tom Calandra (Williamsville/Williamsville North) finished sixth (4.30 meters – 14' 1.25”). Junior
Brent Pavlick (Clifton Park/Shenendehowa) placed fourth (15:20.53) and junior
Pat Fannon (West Islip) finished sixth (15:25.35) in the 5,000 meters.

Erik LeRoy (Kings Park) was 11th out of 23 in the long jump (5.85 meters – 19' 2.25”) and freshman
Amos Webb (Mexico) finished 14th out of 42 in the 400-meter dash (53.24). In the 100-meter dash, junior

Tomas Velasquez (Catskill) placed 16th (11.76) out of 46 competitors.
