Ryan Pericozzi competed in the pole vault at the NCAA indoor championships for the fourth straight season
GRINNELL, IOWA – Cortland senior Ryan Pericozzi (Lancaster) competed in the pole vault but did not clear a height during Day 1 of the NCAA Div. III Men's Indoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by Grinnell College.

Pericozzi, competing at the national indoor championships for the fourth straight season, passed when the bar was at 4.66 meters (15' 3.5”) and began his competition at 4.81 meters (15' 9.25”). He missed on all three of his tries at that height, however, and was eliminated.

North Central's Josh Winder won the event by clearing 5.16 meters (16' 11”).

On Saturday, junior Eric Banks (Westbury), senior Phill Wiltshire (Vestal), freshman Neil Yodice (Northport) and sophomore Stephan Linton (Roosevelt) will compete in the 4x400-meter relay finals. That event is scheduled for a 7 p.m. start (Eastern).
