Bori Tozser's 3,000-meter steeplechase time of 10:57.52 broke the previous school record by more than 11 seconds
LEWISBURG, PA.– Cortland freshman
Bori Tozser (Homer) set a school record in the 3,000-meter steeplechase at the Bison Women's Track and Field Outdoor Classic, hosted by Bucknell University. There was no team scoring at the event.
Tozser finished ninth in a field of 33 competitors and was the top Division III finisher with a time of 10:57.52. The previous school record was 11:08.57 by Alanna Hollborn in 2008. Tozser's time is an ECAC Championship qualifier and currently ranks her sixth on the NCAA Div. III qualifier list in the event.
Senior
Alyson Dalton (Sherrill/Vernon-Verona-Sherrill) finished fifth overall and was the top Division III competitor in the 10,000-meter run with a time of 35:34.23 that ranks her third on the national qualifying list to date. Dalton and sophomore
Emily Cotey (Norwood/Norwood-Norfolk) both met ECAC standards in the event. Cotey finished 22nd in 38:11.73.
