Stephan Linton (Roosevelt) finished in first place to highlight the Red Dragons' performance at the Allegheny College Gator Invitational men's track and field meet.
The Red Dragons were preparing for their final two meets of the season – the ECAC Div. III Championships May 17-18 at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, N.Y., and the NCAA Div. III Championships May 24-26 in Claremont, Calif.
The 4x400-meter relay won in 3:16.62, almost two seconds ahead of its nearest competitor. In addition, Wiltshire was third in the 400-meter hurdles (53.49) and Banks placed ninth in the 400-meter dash (50.00). Sophomore
Cody Amengual (West Babylon) finished second in the 1,500-meter run (3:54.33).
Freshman
Connor Ten Eyck (Clifton Park/Shenendehowa) placed seventh in the evening division of the pole vault at 4.40 meters (14' 5.25”). Senior
Will Razzano (Manorville/Riverhead) finished eighth in the long jump (6.51 meters – 21' 4.25”), junior
Justin Torres (Rome/Rome Free Academy) was eighth in the shot put (14.24 meters – 46' 8.75”) and junior
Pat Fannon (West Islip) finished eighth in the 1,500 meters (4:01.42).
Sophomore
Tyler Prendergast (Waterford/Shenendehowa) competed in three events. He finished ninth in the discus (43.39 meters – 142' 4”), 11th in the shot put (13.94 meters – 45' 9”) and 14th in the hammer throw (46.83 meters – 153' 8”). Junior
Andrew Greenberg (Suffern) was 14th in the 400-meter dash (51.15).
