Lexi Budd finished fourth in the high jump
MEADVILLE, PA. –  Cortland finished second in two relays and in the top five in six other events as the Red Dragons sent a handful of athletes to the Allegheny College Gator Invitational women's track and field meet. The Red Dragons were tuning up for their final two meets of the season – the ECAC Div. III Championships May 17-18 at Rensselaer Polytechnic Institute in Troy, N.Y., and the NCAA Div. III Championships May 24-26 in Claremont, Calif.

The quartet of senior Jenna Evarts (West Islip), senior Veronica Montrose (Clintondale/Highland), freshman Kiki Jones (Binghamton) and sophomore Sarah Bonnell (Norwich) finished second in the 4x100-meter relay in 48.06 seconds. Montrose, junior Alexis Grable (Pine Bush), Jones and senior Abby Vander Veen (Duanesburg/Faith Bible Academy) placed second in the 4x400-meter relay in 3:52.98.

Bonnell turned in two top-four individual finishes. She was third in the long jump at 5.49 meters (18' 0.25”) and fourth in the 100-meter dash in 12.44 seconds (12.38 in prelims).
