Alyson Dalton finished her collegiate career with two track and field All-America honors and two cross country All-America awards

Alyson Dalton (Sherrill/Vernon-Verona-Sherrill) earned All-America honors with a fourth-place finish in the 10,000-meter run during Day 1 of the NCAA Div. III Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
Dalton turned in a time of 36:02.59. Wartburg's Alana Enabnit won the race in 35:14.70. Dalton ran mainly in second place for the first 10 minutes, then took the lead in the 11th minute. Two Wartburg runners, including Enabnit, passed Dalton in the 22nd minute and broke away from the pack. Dalton was still in contention for third place until the final lap before being passed by a runner from Ohio Northern.
The top eight finishers in the field of 22 earned All-America recognition. Dalton finishes her career as a four-time All-American in cross country and track and field. She finished 30th at the 2011 NCAA Div. III Cross Country Championships and 31st in 2010. She was also eighth in the 5,000 meters at the NCAA Div. III Indoor Track and Field Championships this past March.
Cortland freshman
Taylor Hudson (Victor) is currently in eighth place out of 22 competitors after Day 1 of the heptathlon with 2,824 points. She scored 746 points with a 15th-place finish in the 100-meter hurdles (15.74) and tied for third in the high jump at 1.60 meters (5' 3”) for 736 points. Hudson also scored 535 points with her 10th-place distance of 10.08 meters (33' 1”) in the shot put and tallied 807 points with a fourth-place time of 25.89 seconds in the 200-meter dash.
Hudson will complete the heptathlon Saturday with performances in the long jump, javelin throw and 800-meter run. She is Cortland's lone remaining female competitor at the meet.
