Jack Jakubek won the 100-yard breaststroke and swam a leg on the winning 200-yard medley relay
OSWEGO, N.Y. – Freshman
Andrew Cremer (Blue Point/Bayport-Blue Point) won three events and two other Red Dragons were individual double-winners as Cortland defeated host Oswego, 141-99, in a men's swimming and diving dual meet. Cortland improves to 10-5 with the win and has won at least 10 duals each of the last nine seasons.
Cremer won the 1,000-yard freestyle in 10:33.79, the 200-yard freestyle in 1:48.08 and the 500-yard freestyle in 5:02.17. Senior
Dan Maximowicz (Chenango Forks) captured both the 50-yard freestyle (21.72) and 100-yard freestyle (49.92), while freshman
Mathew Hasbrouck (New Paltz) was the victor in the 200-yard individual medley (2:05.91) and 100-yard butterfly (56.30).
Junior
Luke Strothenke (New Paltz) won the 100-yard backstroke (55.86) and finished second in the 50-yard freestyle (22.57). Freshman

Chris Leary (Suffern) won the 200-yard medley relay in 1:42.78, while McManus finished second in the 500-yard freestyle (5:06.29).
Cortland swept the top three spots in the 100-yard butterfly. In addition to Hasbrouck's win, senior
Judd Simon (Oneida) finished second (56.98) and junior Gregory MacDonald (Monroe Township, NJ/St. Joseph's) was third (57.74). Freshman
Lee Wade (Holtsville/Sachem East) turned in second-place finishes on both 3-meter diving (222.70 points) and 1-meter diving (229.25 points), and the foursome of sophomore
Alex Spatzer (Buffalo/Kenmore West), MacDonald, Hasbrouck and Maximowicz finished second in the 200-yard freestyle relay in 1:32.73, just 0.17 seconds off the lead.
Cortland will host the University of Rochester in a dual meet Friday at 6 p.m.
