CANTON, N.Y. - The Cortland women's cross country team finished third out of eight schools at the St. Lawrence Hoffman Invitational on Saturday. The University of Toronto won the meet with 34 points, followed by host St. Lawrence with 53 and Cortland with 61.
Senior
Emily Cotey (Norwood/Norwood-Norfolk) placed seventh out of 101 runners with a time of 23:06.38 over 6,000 meters. Sophomore
Kerri Culhane (Sayville) was 10th (23:20.03) and sophmore
Kayla Blomback (Orchard Park) placed 11th (23:20.46).
Senior
Colleen Fischman (Buffalo/Hamburg) was 16th overall in 23:48.91 and junior
Ameena Dye (DeWitt/Jamesville-DeWitt) placed 17th in 23:54.57. Junior
Kelly Bromm (Washingtonville) crossed the line 20th (24:15.16) and sophomore
Michelyn Little (Voorheesville/Clayton A. Bouton) was 25th (24:20.11).
The Red Dragons head to Easton, Pa., for the Lafayette Leopard Invitational next Saturday.
