EASTON, PA. – The Cortland women's cross country team finished in fifth place at the Leopard Invitational women's collegiate race, hosted by Lafayette College. American University won the meet with 55 points, followed by Bucknell University with 82, Lafayette with 141, and TCNJ with 145 points. Cortland finished with 153 points.
Senior
Emily Cotey (Norwood/Norwood-Norfolk) finished 10th in a field of 165 runners with a time of 22 minutes, 44 seconds over 6,000 meters. Sophomore
Kerri Culhane (Sayville) placed 33rd overall in 23:30 and sophomore
Kayla Blomback (Orchard Park) finished 37th in 23:37. Junior
Ameena Dye (DeWitt/Jamesville-DeWitt) crossed the finish line 44th in 23:35 and senior
Colleen Fischman (Buffalo/Hamburg) was 49th in 23:58.
Rounding out Cortland's top seven runners were junior
Kelly Bromm (Washingtonville) in 67th place (24:20) and sophomore
Michelyn Little (Voorheesville/Clayton A. Bouton) in 80th place (24:38).
Cortland will travel to Ithaca, N.Y., for the Cornell John Reif Memorial Run on Friday, October 25.
