ITHACA, N.Y. – The Cortland women's cross country team sent 11 runners to the non-team scoring Cornell University John Reif Memorial Run. Sophomore Nikki Bermudez (Lindenhurst) was the Red Dragons' top finisher with a 32nd-place time of 20:01.3 over 5,000 meters. A total of 61 runners competed in the race.

Senior Mikayla Gaspary (Ballston Spa) finished 36th (20:16.0), sophomore Jackie Boyce (Greenwich) was 40th (20:25.7), junior Jessica Hughes (Pawling) placed 41st (20:29.6) and junior Regina Bulson (Marlboro) was 42nd (20:29.9).

Freshman Emily Wilson (Buffalo/Frontier) finished 45th (20:37.9) and sophomore Abbey Gray (Homer) finished 46th (20:40.5). Rounding out the Cortland contingent were junior Marina Pettinicchi (Bellport) in 48th place (20:55.5), freshman Lizzy Gomez (Plainview/St. Anthony's) in 49th place (21:01.7), junior Emily DeCaro (Cedar Knolls, NJ/Whippany Park) in 53rd place (21:17.60) and freshman Dana Katulak (Massapequa Park/Massapequa) in 55th place (21:41.5).

Cortland will compete at the SUNYAC Championships in Oneonta on Saturday, Nov. 2.
