ONEONTA, N.Y. - The Cortland women's cross country team finished in third place out of nine schools at the State University of New York Athletic Conference (SUNYAC) Championships, hosted by SUNY Oneonta at Fortin Park.
The Red Dragons finished with 89 points, just three behind second-place and nationally 28th-ranked Oneonta. Geneseo, ranked 11th nationally, won the team title with 26 points.
Senior
Emily Cotey (Norwood/Norwood-Norfolk), the 2012 SUNYAC individual champion, finished eighth in this year's race in 22:27.6 over 6,000 meters. She earned second-team All-SUNYAC honors for her finish. Sophomore
Kerri Culhane (Sayville) received third-team all-league honors with a 14th-place time of 22:41.2.

Kayla Blomback (Orchard Park) finished 19th in 22:54.4, sophomore
Danika Ortiz (Burnt Hills/Burnt Hills-Ballston Lake) was 28th in 23:18.8 and junior
Ameena Dye (DeWitt/Jamesville-DeWitt) finished 29th in 23:19.9.
Rounding out Cortland's top seven finishers were senior
Colleen Fischman (Buffalo/Hamburg) in 33rd place (23:27.5) and junior
Kelly Bromm (Washingtonville) in 41st place (23:48.7). Geneseo's Keira Wood won the race in 22:01.4.
