CORTLAND, N.Y. - Senior goalie Mathieu Cadieux (Oshawa, ON/Cobourg Cougars) made 31 saves as the nationally top-ranked Plattsburgh men's hockey team defeated Cortland, 4-0, Friday night in SUNYAC action at Alumni Arena. The Red Dragons fell to 3-5-2 overall and 3-4-1 in the conference, while the Cardinals improved to 9-0-1 and 7-0-1.

Lyle Rocker (Buffalo/Wisconsin-River Falls) turned aside 36 shots, including 21 of the 22 he faced through the first two periods of action.
Junior Mark Constantine (Haddonfield, NJ/The Hill School) led Plattsburgh with a goal and an assist. Junior Alex Brenton (Kanata, ON/Kemptville 73s), sophomore Dillan Fox (Hummelstown, PA/Walpole Express) and freshman Kyle Hall (Assiniboia, SK/Battlefords North Stars) each contributed a goal while four others tallied one assist apiece.
Brenton gave Plattsburgh a 1-0 lead at 15 minutes, 14 seconds of the first period with a wrist shot from the left side. After a scoreless second period, the Cardinals sealed the win with three third-period goals. Constantine scored from the left side in a crowd at 9:52, before Fox and Hall tallied goals two minutes apart at 13:49 and 15:49, respectively.
Cortland hosts Potsdam on Saturday at 7 p.m. in an Autism Awareness game.
