Reeve Callen finished seventh in the 200-yard freestyle and in the top 20 in two other events

ITHACA, N.Y. – Sophomore
Reeve Callen (Oswego) registered three scoring finishes to highlight Cortland's efforts at the three-day, 11-team Ithaca Men's Swimming and Diving Invitational.
Callen finished seventh in the 200-yard freestyle (1:45.95), 13th in the 50-yard freestyle (21.85) and 18th in the 200-yard freestyle (4:55.57). The top 24 finishers in each event score points. Senior
Mark Hanifin (Fort Plain) posted a 15th-place finish in the 500-yard freestyle (4:54.40) and an 21st-place showing in the 200-yard freestyle (1:48.75).
Freshman
Adam Opsahl (East Lyme, CT) was 20th in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:02.36) and 21st in the 200-yard individual medley (2:01.70).
Freshman
Dylan Burns (Cornwall) tied for 16th place in the 100-yard backstroke (55.97). Sophomore
Jack Jakubek (Monroe/Monroe-Woodbury) finished 15th in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:00.47) and junior
Alex Spatzer (Buffalo/Kenmore West) placed 19th in the 200-yard butterfly (2:02.51).
In the diving events, senior
Kyle McManus (Oakdale/Connetquot) placed 13th on the 3-meter board with 310.80 points over 11 dives, while freshman
Homer Wixson (Montour Falls/Watkins Glen) finished 15th on both the 1-meter (276.20 points) and 3-meter (252.65 points) boards.
In relay action, the combination of Burns, Jakubek, Opsahl and Callen earned a sixth-place scoring finish in the 4x50-yard medley relay (1:38.80), while Hanifin, Callen, Opsahl and Spatzer finished with the eighth-best scoring place in the 4x50-yard freestyle relay (1:29.07).
Cortland finished in 11th place with 325 points. Cornell won the team title, followed by Ithaca and Hartwick.
Cortland will compete in a dual meet at Oneonta on Saturday, Dec. 14, at 1 p.m.
