FREDONIA, N.Y. – In a back-and-forth game in which neither team led by more than a goal, the Cortland men's hockey team played to a 5-5 overtime tie at Fredonia St. Friday night in SUNYAC action.

Junior Adam Bevilacqua (Toronto, ON/St. Norbert) and sophomore Nick Zappia (Manlius/Kingston Voyageurs) led the Red Dragons (7-12-3. 3-8-2 SUNYAC) with two goals and one assist each. Freshman Ryan Wagner (Buffalo/Aberdeen Wings) scored a goal, sophomore Jeff Vanzant (Barrie, ON/Plattsburgh) registered two assists and seniors Chris Kaleta (Hamburg/ Buffalo Jr. Sabres) and Michael Lysyj (Hillsborough, NJ/ South Shore Kings), junior A.J. Moyer (Perkasie, PA/Buffalo Jr. Sabres) and sophomore Tyler Virgoe (Aurora, ON/Couchiching Tigers) each contributed one assist. Junior goalie Lyle Rocker (Buffalo/Wisconsin-River Falls) made 21 saves.

Five different players netted a goal for the Blue Devils (7-13-3, 5-7-2), while five others chipped in with assists. Goalie Mark Friesen turned aside 22 shots.

The Red Dragons play at Buffalo St. Saturday at 7 p.m.
