Junior Melique Garcia was the 100-meter dash runner-up and finished fifth in the 200-meter dash
SPRINGFIELD, MASS. – The Cortland men's outdoor track and field team finished fourth out of 65 schools that scored points at the 2013 Eastern College Athletic Conference (ECAC) Div. III Championships, hosted by Springfield College.
The Red Dragons finished with 43.33 points. Bates won the team title with 79, followed by Oneonta (55), Tufts (45.33) and Cortland.
Junior
Melique Garcia (Valhalla) finished second in the 100-meter dash in 10.66 seconds and fifth in the 200-meter dash in 21.78 seconds. His 100-meter time ranks 12th nationally in Div. III.

Keewan Rondinello (Liverpool) and junior
Stephan Linton (Roosevelt) finished second in 3:15.58. Sophomore
Nick Marcantonio (Glens Falls) placed third in the 10,000 meters (31:34.63) and senior
Pat Fannon (West Islip) was fourth in the 5,000 meters (15:04.49).
Freshman
Andre Green (Philadelphia/Indian River) finished fifth in the long jump at 7.05 meters (23' 1.75”) and senior
Rob Brower (Massapequa) placed fifth in the pole vault with a height of 4.66 meters (15' 3.5”). Banks was seventh in the 400-meter dash in 48.78 seconds, followed by Linton in eighth in 48.83 seconds.
Also scoring at the meet for the Red Dragons were sophomore
Jarred Iacovelli (Manahawkin, NJ/Southern Regional) with an eighth-place time of 9:41.36 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase and sophomore
Connor Ten Eyck (Clifton Park/Shenendehowa) with a tie for eighth in the pole vault at 4.51 meters (14' 9.5”).
