SPRINGFIELD, OHIO - Four Red Dragons placed in the top 30 as Cortland closed the fall season with a fourth-place finish at the 15-team Wittenberg University Pat Clouse Women's Golf Invitational. The two-day tournament was held at the Springfield Country Club.

Cortland was fifth after the opening day with a 341, eight strokes behind Denision, but scored a 338 Sunday and finished with a 679, one better than Denison's 680. Ithaca won the team title with a 633 (314-319), followed by Wittenberg (321-322-643) and DePauw (331-328-659).

Junior Carly Peters (St. James/Smithtown East) tied for ninth place in a field of 95 golfers with a 161. She improved on her opening-round 83 with a 78 Sunday. Senior Samantha Morley (Poughkeepsie/Arlington) placed 23rd with a 171, with her 81 Sunday a nine-stroke improvement over her first-day effort.

Freshman Bri Sovring (Liverpool/Cicero-North Syracuse) tied for 24th place with a 173 (82-91) and junior Melissa Rath (East Northport/Northport) finished 29th with a 174 (86-88). Rounding out Cortland's contingent were freshman Taylor O'Halloran (Staten Island/Notre Dame Academy) in a tie for 52nd place (93-92-185) and freshman Anna Haley (Drexel Hill, PA/Bonner & Prendergast), as an individual entry, in a tie for 68th place (97-95-192). Ithaca's Kimberley Wong was tournament champion with a 151 (75-76).
