In the second set, Cortland led 20-16 after a Pollock kill, but a Paige Wilson kill and three straight Marcy aces tied the set at 20-20. With the set knotted at 22-22, Fisher scored the final three points on a block, an ace and a Cortland error.

Cortland was up 16-14 in the third set before extending the lead to 22-15 on a run that featured two Pollock kills. Fisher scored the next two points, but the Red Dragons closed the set on a kill by May, a McGuirk ace and a Fisher error.

Fisher held a 16-11 lead in the fourth after two Karwas kills and a Cortland error. The Red Dragons, however, mounted a 9-1 run that started with a Hayward kill, a Janine Patora (Salt Point/Arlington) ace and kills by May and McGuirk and finished with a block by Allen and Hayward and two Allen kills.
