MORRISVILLE, N.Y. – Three different Red Dragons scored twice as Cortland remained unbeaten in SUNYAC play with an 8-0 victory at Morrisville State. Sophomore
Shelby Underwood (Marathon) led Cortland (8-2, 3-0 SUNYAC) with two goals and one assist. Sophomore
Gabby Stein (Endwell/Maine-Endwell) and sophomore
Alexa Sanzone (Rome/Rome Free Academy) each scored two goals and junior
Jillian Vogl (Cazenovia) finished with a goal and three assists.

Mairead Hourihan (Yorktown Heights/Lakeland) and senior
Amanda Perricone (Bedminster, PA/Pennridge) each played a half in goal to combine on the shutout. Hourihan did not make any saves in the first half and Perricone recorded two saves in the second half. Senior
Abigail Wentlent (Greene) also helped preserve the shutout with a second-half defensive save.
Meaghan Mack started in goal for Morrisville (1-8, 0-3 SUNYAC) and made seven saves in 15 minutes, 54 seconds. She allowed five goals. Kaitlyn Baker finished with eight saves and three goals allowed in 51:44 and Erin Brown played the final 2:22.
Cortland outshot the Mustangs 52-7, including a 37-2 margin in the opening half on the way to a 7-0 halftime lead. The Red Dragons also finished the game with an 18-1 advantage in penalty corners.
Stein scored twice in the first seven minutes to give Cortland a 2-0 lead. Vogl assisted on the first tally. The lead quickly grew to 5-0 with three goals in less than a three-minute span. Underwood's goal at the 12:56 mark made it 3-0 and Sanzone converted a pass from Vogl at the 14:33 mark. Vogl then scored 1:22 later, assisted by senior
Erica Wharton (Putnam Valley). Stein and Underwood share the team lead this season with nine goals each, followed by Vogl and Sanzone with six goals apiece.
Sanzone scored 19:04 into the half, set up by Underwood, and Underwood tipped in a shot by Vogl in the 28th minute to push the lead to 7-0. Freshman
Victoria Dean (Endwell/Maine-Endwell) finished the scoring 13:17 into the second half when she knocked in a rebound.
Cortland will host undefeated and nationally 12th-ranked Rochester Saturday at 1 p.m.
