Jesse Perrone was Cortland's sixth finisher in the race in 26:42 over 8,000 meters
BETHLEHEM, PA. – Cortland finished in sixth place out of 40 schools in the Brown Division of the Lehigh University Paul Short Run. The Red Dragons scored 269 points, three behind fifth-place Swarthmore and two ahead of seventh-place Marist.
Princeton won the race with 83 points. The field featured 14 Division I schools, 12 of which finished behind the Red Dragons.

Nick Marcantonio (Glens Falls) finished in 10th place out of 341 runners in 25 minutes, 15 seconds over 8,000 meters. Jeffrey Archer of Queens College (Ontario) won the race in 24:34.

Jarred Iacovelli (Manahawkin, NJ/Southern Regional) finished 25th in 25:39 and senior
Joe Ray (Bayport/Bayport-Blue Point) placed 33rd in 25:49. Sophomore
Mitch Ryan (Plattsburgh/Seton Catholic) was 86th (26:15), sophomore
Alex Hall (Caledonia/Caledonia-Mumford) finished 115th (26:28), freshman
Jesse Perrone (East Syracuse/East Syracuse Minoa) crossed the line 140th (26:42) and senior
Steven Pungello (Washingtonville) finished 180th (27:07).
Rounding out Cortland's entries in the race were senior
Tim Odin (Northport) in 288th (28:18) and freshman
John Kaplan (Bayport/Bayport-Blue Point) in 326th (29:53).
In addition, four Cortland runners competed in the Open race, led by junior
Nate Ashton's (Norwich) 357th-place time of 29:01 in a field of 497 runners.
Cortland will compete next Saturday, Oct. 11, at Carnegie Mellon University in Pittsburgh.
