BOSTON, MASS. – Cortland recorded 10 ECAC-qualifying results, including two each by senior
Melique Garcia (Watervliet) and sophomore
Keewan Rondinello (Liverpool), at the Boston University David Hemery Valentine Invitational. The meet featured hundreds of athletes from a variety of Div. I, II and III schools.
Garcia finished 12th of 117 sprinters in the 60-meter dash in 7.02 seconds and 21st of 232 in the 200-meter dash in 21.95 seconds. His 200-meter effort ranks seventh nationally in Div. III. Rondinello was 37th in the 200-meter dash (22.31) and 62nd of 195 in the 400-meter dash (50.17).
Senior
Tom Hopkins (Syracuse/West Genesee) finished 28th of 84 in the 5,000 meters in 14:41.02, which ranks him 13th nationally in Div. III.
Junior
Eric Wong (Massapequa Park/Massapequa) finished 91st in the 400 meters (50.91) and freshman
Bailey Imbo (Bayport/Bayport-Blue Point) was 102nd of 233 in the 800 meters (1:57.87). Freshman
