BOSTON, MASS. – The Cortland women's indoor track and field team registered 11 ECAC-qualifying efforts at the Boston University David Hemery Valentine Invitational. The meet featured hundreds of athletes from a variety of Div. I, II and III schools.
Freshman
Amanda Moore (Massapequa), senior
Africa Harper (Bronx/John F. Kennedy) and freshman
Dana Kupiec (Salem) each recorded two ECAC individual efforts. Moore was 33rd of 110 in the 60-meter dash (8.04) and 59th of 212 in the 200-meter dash (25.96). Harper placed 103rd in the 200 meters (26.53) and 87th of 169 in the 400-meter dash (1:00.42), while Kupiec was 69th in the 400 meters (59.91) and 118th in the 200 meters (26.80).
Sophomore
Kayla Blomback (Orchard Park) placed 53rd of 168 in the mile run in 5:08.08 and sophomore
Kailyn Balzano (East Greenbush/Columbia) finished 65th of 158 in the 800 meters in 2:20.16.
Junior
Hannah Anthes (Liverpool) posted a time of 26.90 seconds for 124th place in the 200 meters. Junior
Gabrielle Conant (Tully) finished 80th in the 400 meters in 1:00.25.
Cortland also hit an ECAC time in the 4x400-meter relay as Kupiec, Conant, junior
Kiersten Duroe (Horseheads) and Harper finished in 4:03.18.
