Fergus Finishes 18th on NCAA 3-Meter Board; Red Dragons Finish 44th Nationally

Miranda Fergus missed advancing to the consolation finals on the 3-meter board by less than eight points
INDIANAPOLIS, IND. - Cortland sophomore Miranda Fergus (Millbrook) finished in 18th place in the 3-meter diving competition during the final day of action at the NCAA Div. III Women's Swimming and Diving Championships. The four-day event was held at the IUPUI Natatorium.

Fergus finished with a score of 404.30 points in the 11-dive preliminaries. She missed 16th place and a spot in the consolation finals by less than eight points. Kenyon's Maria Zarka won the national title with a score of 494.15 points after posting a 486.55 in prelims.

Earlier in the championship meet Fergus finished 13th on the 1-meter board to score four team points and earn honorable mention All-America status. Cortland placed 44th out of 51 schools that scored in the final team standings.
