ITHACA, N.Y. – The Cortland outdoor track and field teams sent a handful of field competitors to the Ithaca College Tuesday Meet.
On the men's side, senior
Tyler Prendergast (Waterford/Shenendehowa) won the hammer throw with an ECAC-qualifying distance of 48.18 meters (158' 1"), along with victories in the shot put (13.73 meters – 45' 0.5") and discus (42.29 meters – 138' 9").
Woody Millar (Saratoga Springs) captured the javelin title with a throw of 46.43 meters (152' 4") and was third in the discus at 40.03 meters (131' 4"). Other highlights included a second-place showing by
Daniel Margo (Oneida) in the shot put (13.00 meters – 42' 8"), a third-place finish by
Billy Ray (Bayport/Bayport-Blue Point) in the shot put (12.74 meters – 41' 9.75") and a fourth-place effort by
Dante Binotto III (Canajoharie) in the javelin (43.87 meters – 143' 11").
Diamond Jackson (Farmingville/Sachem East) was Cortland's lone competitor on the women's side. She finished fourth in the shot put at 10.30 meters (33' 9.5") and ninth in the hammer throw at 30.35 meters (99' 7").
