ALBANY, N.Y. – Senior
Africa Harper (Bronx/John F. Kennedy), freshman
Amanda Moore (Massapequa) and senior
Sarah Bonnell (Norwich) each turned in a pair of ECAC-qualifying performances at the University at Albany Purple & Gold Last Chance women's outdoor track and field meet.
Harper finished third in both the 200-meter dash (25.63) and the 100-meter dash (12.59). Moore was runner-up in the 100 meters (12.45) and fourth in the 200 meters (25.96), while Bonnell placed fifth in the 100 meters (12.64, 12.56 prelims) and third in the long jump (5.33 meters – 17' 6").
Senior
Lisa Bodratti (Valatie/Ichabod Crane) and sophomore
Angelique Jean-Charles (Elmint/Valley Stream) finished fourth (14.93) and sixth (15.35), respectively, in the 100-meter hurdles with ECAC times. Senior
Kelly Hugo (Highland) cleared an ECAC-qualifying height of 3.40 meters (11' 1.75") to finish third in the pole vault.
Also for the Red Dragons, sophomore
Kailyn Balzano (East Greenbush/Columbia) finished 10th out of 20 runners in the 800 meters in 2:21.46.
Cortland will compete at the ECAC Div. III Championships Thursday and Friday, May 15-16, at RPI in Troy. The NCAA Div. III Championships will be held May 22-24 at Ohio Wesleyan University in Delaware, Ohio.
