ITHACA, N.Y. – Senior
Taylor Hudson (Victor) tied her own school indoor record in the high jump to highlight Cortland's performances at the Cornell University Southern Tier Open.
Hudson won the high jump with an ECAC-qualifying height of 1.70 meters (5' 7") and currently ranks second nationally in Division III. She initially set the school record in the event last season. Hudson also finished fifth of 39 in the 200-meter dash (26.91) and sixth in the 60-meter hurdles (9.67, 9.54 in prelims).
Junior
Kenya Outram (Brooklyn/Victory Collegiate) won the 60-meter hurdles in 9.30 seconds, an ECAC qualifier. She improved on her prelim time of 9.49 seconds and currently ranks sixth nationally in Division III. In addition, Outram finished 10th of 22 in the 200-meter dash (27.29).

Kailyn Balzano (East Greenbush/Columbia) was Cortland's other ECAC qualifier at the meet with her eighth-place effort of 3:07.91 in the 1,000 meters. Balzano was also fifth in the mile (5:20.52).

Kayla Koelbel (Bradford, PA/Kings Park (NY)) finished fifth in the 60-meter hurdles (9.51) and junior
Whitney Ford (Oswego) was seventh in the 60-meter dash (8.41). Sophomore
Dana Kupiec (Salem) turned in a fifth-place showing in the 500 meters (1:23.24), followed by freshman
Sydney Chaffee (Norwich) in sixth place (1:23.28).

Midge Moore (Massapequa) placed seventh in the 400 meters (1:04.64) and ninth in the 200 meters (27.13), while freshman
Brenda Perrella (Hamburg/Frontier) was seventh in the shot put (11.39 meters – 37' 4.5") and eighth in the weight throw (13.06 meters – 42' 10.25"). Junior
Jane Martinez (Latham/East Lyme (CT)) tied for seventh in the pole vault (11.39 meters – 37' 4.5"), senior
Hannah Anthes (Liverpool) was eighth in the 400 meters (1:05.08) and senior
Valerie Vancol (Merrick/Sanford H. Calhoun) finished ninth in the shot put (10.97 meters – 36' 0").
Cortland will return to Cornell for the Upstate Challenge January 23-24.
