CLINTON, N.Y. – Cortland finished in third place out of 15 schools at the Hamilton College Men's Cross Country Invitational, held at the Hamilton College Golf Course. The Red Dragons finished with 110 points, six ahead of fourth-place Ottawa. Hamilton won the team title with 31 points, followed by Div. II East Stroudsburg with 48 points.
Cortland's top six runners all finished in the 60 in the 173-runner field. Junior
Mitch Ryan (Plattsburgh/Seton Catholic) placed 10th in 26 minutes, 13 seconds over an 8,000-meter layout. Mohawk Valley Community College's Zakaria Djouma won the race in 25:12. Sophomore
Jesse Perrone (East Syracuse/East Syracuse Minoa) finished in 17th place (26:50) and freshman
Jake Zedack (Mexico) was 19th (26:56).

Aaron Granger (Delevan/Pioneer) turned in a 31st-place finish (27:11) and freshman
Grant Boyd (Newburgh/Newburgh Free Academy) crossed the finish line 46th (27:35). Freshman
Christian Yorks (Warwick/Warwick Valley) ran the course in 27:57 for a 57th-place finish.
Cortland will run at the Rowan University Inter-Regional Border Battle next Saturday, Oct. 17. The men's race is scheduled for 11:45 a.m., with the women's race at 11 a.m.
