Mary Baughman was Cortland's top finisher with a fourth-place time of 17:35 over 5,000 meters
CLINTON, N.Y. – All seven of Cortland's scoring runners finished in the top 40 as the nationally 33rd-ranked Red Dragons placed second out of 14 schools at the Hamilton College Women's Cross Country Invitational.
The Red Dragons were the top Div. III team in the field with 51 points. Div. II East Stroudsburg won the team title with 33 points, followed by Cortland, Ottawa (63), Hamilton (121) and Utica (158) in the top five.

Mary Baughman (Rush/Rush-Henrietta) finished fourth out of 181 runners in 17 minutes, 35 seconds over 5,000 meters. Senior
Kayla Blomback (Orchard Park) placed sixth in 18:05. East Stroudsburg's Allison Decker took individual honors in 17:09.

Kerri Culhane (Sayville) finished 11th (18:15) and 12th (18:19), respectively. Sophomore
Megan Wagner (Niskayuna) hit the finish line 21st (18:39), freshman
Gwen Proper (Sylvan Beach/Camden) was 27th (18:46) and senior
Jackie Boyce (Schaghticoke/Greenwich) finished 40th (19:10).
Three other Red Dragons finished in the top half of the field. Sophomore
Sara Billings (Gansevoort/South Glens Falls) ended 45th (19:13), junior
Danielle Milo (West Islip) was 77th (20:04), and senior
Abbey Gray (Homer) finished 86th (20:12).
Cortland will run at the Rowan University Inter-Regional Border Battle next Saturday, Oct. 17. The women's race starts at 11 a.m., followed by the men's at 11:45 a.m.
