Box Score CORTLAND, N.Y. – Junior
Gabby Stein (Endwell/Maine-Endwell) scored two goals and became the 11th player in school history to reach the career 100-point mark as Cortland wrapped up regular-season play with a 5-0 non-league win over visiting Union College.
The Red Dragons (13-4) will host Oneonta in the SUNYAC tournament semifinals on Wednesday, Nov. 4 at 3 p.m.
Stein scored Cortland's two second-half goals and through three seasons has 46 goals and 11 assists for 103 points. She connected off a crossing pass from
Jillian Vogl (Cazenovia) with 10:33 left to break the 100-point mark and scored off her own rebound with 8:20 remaining. Stein leads the Red Dragons this fall with 14 goals.
Sophomore

Meg Redmond (Accord/Rondout Valley) and freshman
Jessica Welsh (Hamilton) scored in the first half. O'Brien gave Cortland a 1-0 lead with 14:45 left in the half when she deflected in a ball hit from outside the circle by senior
Sara O'Brien (Amherst). Redmond found the cage from 15 yards out, off a Vogl feed, less than a minute later, and Welsh scored her 13th goal of the season from seven yards away with 10 minutes left in the period.
Freshman
Kailynne Reinoehl (Lititz, PA/Warwick) made three saves for the shutout. Laura Aptowitz registered nine saves for Union (6-11). Cortland outshot the Dutchwomen, 20-4, and held a 9-4 edge in penalty corners.
