Miranda Fergus (Millbrook) won both diving boards and senior
Chelsey Simon (Oneida) and freshman
Elizabeth Connolly (Lockport) each took top honors in an event as Cortland opened its home dual-meet season with a 210-87 loss to defending SUNYAC champion Geneseo.
Fergus posted scores of 263.50 points on the 1-meter board and 264.40 points on the 3-meter board. Simon won the 100-yard butterfly in 1:02.18 and Connolly touched the wall first in the 100-yard freestyle in 55.64 seconds.
Connolly also finished second in the 200-yard freestyle (2:01.11). Junior
Kelly Lambkin (Monroe/Monroe-Woodbury) earned two runner-up finishes with times of 1:13.07 in the 100-yard breaststroke and 2:39.87 in the 200-yard breaststroke, and freshman
Natalie Johnson (Canandaigua/Marcus Whitman) was second in the 100-yard butterfly behind Simon in 1:03.63.
Cortland will travel to Buffalo State for a dual meet next Saturday, Nov. 21, at 1 p.m.
