Angelica Ford won the 100-yard backstroke and 200-yard backstroke and swam the lead leg on the Red Dragons' victorious 400-yard freestyle relay team

Angelica Ford (Elk Grove Village, IL) and senior
Miranda Fergus (Millbrook) were each double individual winners as the Red Dragons lost at Ithaca College, 185-114, in dual-meet action. Ford captured the 100-yard backstroke in 1:04.10 and the 200-yard backstroke in 2:17.29. Fergus won 3-meter diving with a score of 268.25 points and 1-meter diving with 286.00 points.
Freshman
Elizabeth Connolly (Lockport) won the 500-yard freestyle (5:26.88), senior
Chelsey Simon (Oneida) was the 100-yard butterfly winner (1:02.25), and junior
Emily McGurk (Monroe/Monroe-Woodbury) captured top honors in the 200-yard individual medley (2:20.82). Cortland also won the 400-yard freestyle relay as Ford, Simon, Connolly and freshman
Natalie Johnson (Canandaigua/Marcus Whitman) were clocked in 3:47.85.
Simon was also second in the 200-yard butterfly (2:21.48) and Johnson finished second in the 100-yard backstroke (1:04.97). Junior
Kelly Lambkin (Monroe/Monroe-Woodbury) turned in a runner-up finish in the 100-yard breaststroke (1:13.08), and the foursome of Johnson, Lambkin, Simon and junior
Whitney Mietz (Rochester/Brighton) finished second in the 200-yard medley relay (1:55.77).
Cortland will host Geneseo in dual-meet action next Saturday, Nov. 14, at 1 p.m.
