Angelique Jean-Charles was one of three Cortland hurdlers to post an ECAC-qualifying time
ITHACA, N.Y. –
Taylor Hudson (Victor) recorded three of Cortland's six ECAC-qualifying performances at the Cornell University Sunday Invitational women's indoor track and field meet.
Hudson was second in the high jump at 1.65 meters (5' 5"), fourth of 27 in the 200-meter dash in 26.20 seconds, and ninth in the 60-meter hurdles in 9.29 seconds.
Two other Red Dragons hit ECAC marks in the 60-meter hurdles.
Kayla Koelbel (Bradford, PA/Kings Park (NY)) finished sixth in 9.29 seconds (9.25 in prelims) and
Angelique Jean-Charles (Elmont/Valley Stream) was 10th in 9.36 seconds.
Cortland's other ECAC qualifier was
Valerie Vancol (Merrick/Sanford H. Calhoun), who finished second in the shot put with a distance of 12.34 meters (40' 6").
Brenda Perrella (Hamburg/Frontier) placed fourth in the weight throw (13.72 meters – 45' 0.25") and eighth in the shot put (11.37 meters – 37' 3.75").
Tasha Almonacy (Brentwood) finished seventh in the 400-meter dash (1:01.05),
Diamond Jackson (Farmingville/Sachem East) was seventh in the weight throw (13.14 meters – 43' 1.5") and
Alex Seymour (Dryden) placed eighth in the pole vault (3.30 meters – 10' 10").
Also for Cortland, Koelbel finished ninth in the 200-meter dash (27.11),
Kenya Outram (Brooklyn/Victory Collegiate) was ninth in the long jump (4.96 meters – 16' 3.25") and
Kiersten Duroe (Horseheads) tied for ninth in the 400 meters (1:03.91).
Cortland will send competitors to meets next weekend at Ithaca and Cornell as well as the 168th Street Armory Meet in New York City.
