Andre Green (Watertown/Indian River) set a school indoor record in the long jump during Cortland's competition at the Ithaca College Friday Quad Meet. The Red Dragons also sent competitors to both the Ramapo Roadrunner Tuneup in New York City.
ITHACA, N.Y. – Green established a new school indoor mark with his winning long jump of 7.23 meters (23' 8.75") at the Ithaca Quad Meet. The previous school mark of 7.19 meters was held by both Glen Forsythe in 2014 and Paul LaBerge in 1989. Green currently ranks second nationally in Div. III in the event.Green had one of Cortland's four ECAC qualifiers at Ithaca. Dawan Jones (Buffalo/Tapestry Charter) posted two of Cortland's ECAC efforts with third-place finishes in the triple jump (13.61 meters – 44' 8") and the long jump (6.74 meters – 22' 1.5"). Connor Ten Eyck (Clifton Park/Shenendehowa) won the pole vault with an ECAC height of 4.60 meters (15' 1"). Ten Eyck led a sweep by the Red Dragons of the top three pole vault spots. Charlie Kollmer (Mount Sinai) was second at 4.25 meters (13' 11.25"), while Corey Fitchett (East Islip) cleared 4.10 meters (13' 5.25") to take third place. Four Red Dragons finished in the top half of the field in the 24-runner 400-meter dash. Bailey Imbo (Bayport/Bayport-Blue Point) was third in 51.89 seconds. Charlie Beeler (Manlius/Fayetteville-Manlius) finished 10th (52.53), Peter Richardson (Syracuse/West Genesee) was 11th (53.04) and Nate Wicks (Baldwinsville/C.W. Baker) placed 12th (53.50). Connor Christopherson (Morrisonville/Saranac Lake) and Jimmy Moyer (Oneida) tied for third in the high jump, each clearing 1.83 meters (6' 0"). Marcus Alston (Wappingers Falls/Roy C. Ketcham) and Kenenna Emekekwue (Elmont/Sewanhaka) finished fourth (22.97) and sixth (23.27), respectively, of 28 in the 200-meter dash. Emekekwue was also 11th of 22 in the 60-meter dash (7.37). Also for the Red Dragons, Seamus Finucane (Tomkins Cove/North Rockland) was sixth in the 60-meter hurdles (9.37), Mike Cruz (West Haverstraw/North Rockland) was seventh in the long jump (6.51 meters – 21' 4.25"), and Tyler May (Elbridge/Jordan-Elbridge) finished eighth in the shot put (12.19 meters – 40' 0").Â
NEW YORK CITY –
Nick Avossa (Kingston) posted an ECAC-qualifying time in the 60-meter hurdles and
Aaron Granger (Delevan/Pioneer) and
Jesse Perrone (East Syracuse/East Syracuse Minoa) earned top-six finishes in the mile as Cortland tied for 12th out of 23 teams at the Ramapo Roadrunner Tuneup.

Cortland finished with nine points at the event, which was held at the New Balance Track & Field Center at The Armory in Manhattan.

Avossa finished seventh of 26 in the 60-meter hurdles with a time of 8.45 seconds. In the mile, Granger finished fifth in 4:27.55 and Perrone was sixth in 4:28.23 out of 26 runners.

Jerel Williams (East Islip) and
Romain Saint Germain (Westbury) finished 17th and 19th, respectively, out of 52 in the 60-meter dash. Williams recorded a time of 7.23 seconds and Saint Germain finished in 7.24 seconds. Saint Germain also finished 16th of 61 in the 200-meter dash (23.03) and
Corey Cooper (Edgemont) was 16th of 36 in the 400-meter dash (50.97).
