WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. - Senior
Taylor Hudson (Victor) finished second nationally in the high jump and junior
Kailyn Balzano (East Greenbush/Columbia) placed sixth in the 800-meter run to earn All-America honors during the second and final day of the 2015 NCAA Div. III Women's Indoor Track and Field Championships at the JDL Faast Track.
Hudson broke her own school record by clearing a height of 1.72 meters (5' 7.75"). She matched the height of the winner, Gladys Njoku of Stevens Institute, but Njoku was declared the winner due to fewer misses than Hudson. Hudson is a high jump All-American for the third time after finishing fifth indoors and third outdoors last season.
Balzano finished sixth in the 800 meters with a time of 2:14.28. Cynthia Adams of Lebanon Valley won the title in 2:08.81. Balzano had entered the national meet seeded 11th in the event, and she is an All-American for the first time.
Cortland tied for 18th place of 67 schools that scored with 11 points. Wisconsin-La Crosse captured the team title with 55 points.
