CORTLAND, N.Y. –
Taylor Hudson (Victor) registered three of Cortland's 11 ECAC-qualifying performances as the Red Dragons hosted the two-day Cortland Classic women's track and field invitational.
Hudson won the long jump in a field of 35 competitors with a distance of 5.66 meters (18' 7") that currently ranks seventh nationally in Div. III. She was also second overall, and the top collegiate finisher, in the high jump with an ECAC height of 1.68 meters (5' 6").
In addition, Hudson was second in the 100-meter hurdles prelims in 15.68 seconds, an ECAC qualifier, but did not compete in the finals. She missed ECAC status by a hundredth of a second in the 100-meter dash with her first-place prelim time of 12.66 seconds, but did not run in the finals of that event either.
Kenya Outram (Brooklyn/Victory Collegiate) won the 100-meter hurdle finals in 15.64 seconds after posting a time of 15.28 seconds in prelims. Both meet ECAC standards.
Angelique Jean-Charles (Elmont/Valley Stream) met ECAC qualifying levels with her prelim time of 15.79 seconds in the hurdles. She was seventh in the finals in 17.10 seconds.
Kayla Koelbel (Bradford, PA/Kings Park (NY)) won the heptathlon with 3,846 points. She currently ranks fifth on the ECAC qualifying list with that score. Koelbel scored 759 points in the 100-meter hurdles with an ECAC time of 15.64 seconds and scored 713 points in the 200-meter dash (26.98).
Senior
Valerie Vancol (Merrick/Sanford H. Calhoun) was second of 28 in the shot put with an ECAC distance of 11.85 meters (38' 10.5") and was fifth in the discus at 35.93 meters (117' 10").
Diamond Jackson (Farmingville/Sachem East) was runner-up in the discus at 39.02 meters (128' 0"), an ECAC qualifier.
Alex Seymour (Dryden) was Cortland's other individual ECAC qualifier at the Cortland Classic with a fourth-place pole vault of 3.42 meters (11' 2.5"). The Red Dragons' 4x400-meter relay also hit an ECAC mark as

Christine LaVoie (Fayetteville/Fayetteville-Manlius),
Melissa Emilio (Oneonta) and
Sydney Chaffee (Norwich) finished fifth in 4:02.78.
Cortland did have one other ECAC qualifier, albeit at a different meet. The Red Dragons sent
Kailyn Balzano (East Greenbush/Columbia) to the Cornell Upstate Challenge and she finished second of 26 in the 1,500 meters in 4:39.35.
Back at Cortland,
Midge Moore (Massapequa) won both the 100-meter dash with a time of 13.01 seconds (12.87 in prelims) and the 200-meter dash in 26.13 seconds. There were 49 competitors in the 100 meters and 75 in the 200 meters. Kupiec and Outram finished third (26.41) and sixth (26.87), respectively, in the 200 meters.
Kayla Blomback (Orchard Park) was third of 38 in the 1,500 meters (4:52.49), with
Michelyn Little (Voorheesville/Clayton A. Bouton) fourth (4:54.46).
Jackie Boyce (Greenwich) registered a third-place time of 12:16.58 in the 3,000-meter steeplechase.
Sara Billings (Gansevoort/South Glens Falls) placed sixth (12:32.26).
