Amanda "Midge" Moore ran the opening leg on Cortland's winning 4x100-meter relay team. She was also part of the Red Dragons' winning 4x100 relay last spring.
BROCKPORT, N.Y. –
Taylor Hudson (Victor) won league titles in both the high jump and long jump and anchored the winning 4x100-meter relay team to help Cortland finish in second place at the 2015 SUNYAC Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships.
Geneseo won the league title with 154.5 points, with Cortland second at 132 and Oneonta third with 122. Rounding out the field were Brockport (107), Buffalo St. (104.5), Fredonia (100), Plattsburgh (64) and Oswego (25).
Hudson set a meet record in the long jump and repeated as league champion with a distance of 5.72 meters (18' 9.25"). She currently ranks sixth nationally in Div. III with that performance. Hudson also won her third straight outdoor league crown in the high jump with a height of 1.64 meters (5' 4.5").
The 4x100-meter relay team of

Dana Kupiec (Salem),
Dana Messina (East Meadow) and Hudson won with a time of 48.00 seconds that ranks 15th nationally. Moore and Kupiec were also part of Cortland's winning 4x100 relay last spring.
The individual league champions earn first-team All-SUNYAC honors, while individual runners-up are recognized as second-team all-conference.
Earning second-team honors with runner-up showings were:
Kailyn Balzano (East Greenbush/Columbia) in the 800 meters in 2:12.11, which ranks 12th nationally, and
Diamond Jackson (Farmingville/Sachem East) in the discus with a distance of 40.02 meters (131' 3").
Kayla Koelbel (Bradford, PA/Kings Park (NY)) finished third in the heptathlon with 3,866 points despite not scoring in the javelin. She tallied 815 points in the 100-meter hurdles (15.20) and 753 points in the 200 meters (26.51).
Cortland will compete at the ECAC Div. III Outdoor Championships on Thursday and Friday, May 14-15, at Springfield College. The Red Dragons may try to add another meet on their schedule this upcoming weekend.
