Taylor Hudson All-American in Long Jump With Fourth-Place NCAA Showing

CANTON, N.Y. - Taylor Hudson (Victor) earned All-America honors in the long jump during Day 1 of the NCAA Div. III Women's Outdoor Track and Field Championships, hosted by St. Lawrence University.

Hudson's best leap was 5,79 meters (19' 0"), just one centimeter shy of matching her career best. Divya Biswal of St. Lawrence won the national title at 5.95 meters (19' 6.25"). Hudson earned one of nine spots in the finals with her second attempt of 5.70 meters. She hit her best mark on her fifth jump of the day out of six tries.

Hudson earned her fourth track and field All-America honor overall and first in the long jump with her top-eight showing. She's been a high jump All-American during each of the last two indoor seasons, including a national runner-up finish this year, as well as during the outdoor nationals last spring. Hudson will compete in the high jump Saturday at 11:30 a.m.
