Men's Cross Country Competes at Roberts Wesleyan

Sophomore Jesse Perrone was Cortland's top finisher
ROCHESTER, N.Y. – Cortland finished in 12th place out of 24 teams at the Roberts Wesleyan Invitational men's cross country race on Saturday. The Red Dragons scored 328 points. Cornell won the team title with 25 points.

Sophomore Jesse Perrone (East Syracuse/East Syracuse Minoa) was Cortland's top finisher, crossing the finish line in 31st place. He covered the 8,000-meter course in 26:46.5. Cornell's Zack Israel won the race in 25:16.6. Two hundred thirty-seven runners competed.

Rounding out Cortland's top five were freshman Jake Zedack (Mexico) in 77th (27:50.2), sophomore Aaron Granger (Delevan/Pioneer) in 88th (28:11.9), freshman Christian Yorks (Warwick/Warwick Valley) in 90th (28:13.4) and freshman Mehamed Abdurahim (Rochester/Rush-Henrietta) in 93rd (28:17.8).
