CORTLAND, N.Y. -
Mathew Hasbrouck (New Paltz) and
Reeve Callen (Oswego) each won two events during Cortland's 155.5-106.5 home dual-meet loss to New Paltz.
Hasbrouck captured the 200-yard butterfly (2:03.99) and the 100-yard butterfly (53.99). Callen won the 1,000-yard freestyle (10:19.18) and 200-yard freestyle (1:47.71).
Also for the Red Dragons,
Tim Thatcher (Staten Island/St. Peter's Boys) won the 500-yard freestyle (5:00.57) and finished second in the 100-yard freestyle (51.22), while
Jack Jakubek (Monroe/Monroe-Woodbury) won the 100-yard breaststroke (1:02.55) and placed second in the 200-yard breaststroke (2:20.57).
Dylan Burns (Cornwall) was Cortland's other winner with a first-place time of 54.46 seconds in the 100-yard backstroke.
Brian Cremer (Blue Point/Bayport-Blue Point) tied for second place in the 200-yard freestyle (1:51.33). The combination of Cremer,
Jamie Miller (Eden), Hasbrouck and Callen finished second in the 200-yard freestyle relay (1:28.36), while Burns, Jakubek, Hasbrouch and Miller were second in the 200-yard medley relay (1:37.62).
Cortland will compete at the RPI Kumpf Invitational on Saturday at noon.
